Lumbini Park

Lumbini park was established in 1994 by Hyderabad Urban Development Authority under Buddha Purnima Project. Here you can not only enjoy boating but also enjoy amidst a variety of flowers and cacti. Laser show and musical fountain in the evenings are major attractions of this park. People love to see the huge floral clock too at the entrance of the park. Birla Mandir and Hussain Sagar Lake which is an artificial lake with a granite Buddha statue in the centre are nearby.

Necklace Road

This is a place where you can savour some memorable moments. Built on the lines of Necklace road in Mumbai, the place actually resembles a necklace! It stretches across 3 kms. and connects NTR gardens, Lumbini park and Sanjeevaiah park (in Secunderabad). From Sanjeevaiah park, the road runs to Tank Bund road and again connects with NTR Gardens - making a necklace, isn't it?

Sanjeevaiah Park

This is a park built on 92 acres on the banks of Hussain Sagar Lake. It is named after ex-Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Shri Damodaram Sanjivayya and is now managed by Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA). Well, this park will introduce you to a wide variety of birds, butterflies and insects including migratory birds such as pied crested cuckoo, spotbills, cranes etc. Sanjeevaiah park is the venue for public awareness campaigns and other events.

Durgam Cheruvu or Secret Lake


Durgam Cheruvu

Durgam Chheruvu in Ranga Reddy district, is a freshwater lake spread across 83 acres. The lake is also famous as Secret Lake because it lies hidden between Jubilee hills and Madhapur. People generally visit here during weekends for relaxation and enjoy fishing. There are restaurants, artificial waterfalls and rock garden here. Adventure activities include rappelling, rock climbing, trekking etc. There is an art gallery, an amphitheatre and sculptor park too for artists.

Public Gardens or Bagh-e-Aam


Public Gardens

Also known as Bagh-e-Aam or Bagham, the Public gardens is a recreation park located in Nampally. Open air theatre 'Lalitha Kala Toranam', Jawahar Bal Bhavan, Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council buildings are all located here.

You must visit Andhra Pradesh Archaeological Museum when you come here.This is the most popular garden in Hyderabad!

Mir Alam Tank

Mir Alam tank is located to the south of Musi river. The tank is named after Mir Alam Bahadur, then Prime Minister ofHyderabad state during the reign of Asaf Jah III, the third Nizam of Hyderabad state. You can visit Nehru Zoological park too in the vicinity.
