NTR Gardens
City bus route number 5B can be taken to reach NTR gardens. The park is open from 2:30 PM till 10:00PM.
For visitors of the age 12 years and above the entry fee is Rs 15/- per head and for those below 12 years is Rs 10/-. For normal photography the charges are Rs 30/- and for video camera it is Rs 65/-

Nehru Zoological Park
This zoological park is situated near Mir Alam Tank or Sagar. Bengal Tiger, Sloth bear, Asiatic lion and many more animal and floral species are found here. Other attractions in this zoo are Children’s train, the Lion safari park and natural history museum. One can enjoy the multiple safari trips and educational shows as well as feeding sessions organized everyday by the zoological park. Nehru Zoo Park is closed on Mondays.
The zoological park is open for visitors from 8:30 AM till 5:00PM (July to March) and from 8:00 AM till 5:30 PM (April to June).
Many buses connect the Zoo park of Hyderabad like 5K, 2Z, 2/95A, 3H/95A, 3Z, and 65Z.

Lumbini Park 
Located in the Necklace road area Lumbini park is about 3 kilometers away from Hyderabad. This park is adjacent to Hussain Sagar Lake as well and one of the main attractions of the park is its boat ride that takes the visitors close to Buddha statue in Hussain Sagar Lake. Other interesting features of the park include man-made waterfalls, a floral clock and the musical dancing fountains. Every day at 6:30 PM a fountain and light show is organized. To reach Lumbini Park one can use the MMTS i.e. the Multi Modal Transport System. The nearest MMTS station is Necklace road station on Hyderabad to Falaknuma road.

KBR National Park

Mahavir Harina Vanasthali National Park

This national Park happens to be situated on the outskirts of Hyderabad in Vijayawada road. The shuttle service in this park allows tourists to get close to the black bucks.
Mahavir Park is closed on Mondays from 9:00AM till 5:00PM.

Mrugavani National Park
Located near Chilkur in Moinabad mandal, Mrugavani National Park is home to more than 600 different types
The Park is around 25 Kilometers away from Hyderabad. It is open from 9:00 AM till 5:00 PM, entry fee is Rs 10/- per head and for safari the charges are Rs 50/- (per bus ride) for a family of 5 people.

Snow World

Do's and dont's in Snow World
- The warm gear given is sufficient however it is advisable to wear your own socks as the boots might not be adequate to keep you warm
- Take time to acclamatize in the accalamatizing zone, as one might get giddy because of the sudden fall in temperature
- It is better to visit the snow world in evening
- Heart patients and pregnant women are advised to take precautions

Hussain Sagar Lake

Out of the so many lakes in Hyderabad there is one lake worth mentioning as one of the picnic destinations in the city and that is Hussain Sagar lake. At Hussain Sagar lake on one hand there is the Boat Club and on the other hand there is Secunderabad therefore connecting the twin cities i.e. Hyderabad and Secunderabad. The heart of the city is home to a Buddha statue Island and is famous for the Regatta competition; one can sail towards the statue starting from the Lumbini park and loiter or take a loop around the road. When in search of peace of mind and tranquility or sporty adventure one can choose this destination blindly for picnic
