Women Welfare Organizations in Hyderabad

To make women self-reliant and give them proper conditions for working, the Andhra Pradesh Women's Cooperative Finance Corporation Ltd. (APWCFC) have promoted economic activities foe women residing in rural provinces. 

Mahila Vikasa Kendrams (Women Training Centers) train women in myriad skills. Helping hand is provided by Andhra Pradesh State Government, NABARD (National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development), SIDBI (Small Industries Development Bank of India) and Government of India. 

Taruni Facility Centers have been set up to make use of Information Technology with each centre comprising of fax machine, photocopier, laser printer and internet facility. Working Women's Hostels make it convenient for women to take up jobs in towns and cities and live at affordable rates.

Gender equality, gender justice, social security, elimination of discrimination and economic development of women is the main purpose of the government. Swayamsidha Programme of the Government intends to create awareness women about good health and nutrition, education, hygiene and other social issues. 'Aanganvadi Centres' serve as monitoring systems.

Andhra Pradesh Microfinance Institutions (Regulation of Money Lending) Act, 2011 protects the interests of self-help group (SHG) borrowers from MFIs (microfinance institutions) which give small loans to poor borrowers.

Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) has led to improved employment opportunities due to establishment of micro enterprises urban and rural areas. 

Abhaya Hastham (Indira Kranthi Patham Pension and Insurance Scheme for SHG Women) is a co-contributory Pension Scheme for the women (above 18 years of age), belonging to the Self Help Groups in Andhra Pradesh.It helps in the following ways:
